In the New Testament, we are given two sacraments to picture the gospel: baptism and the Lord's Supper. God has given us the Lord's Supper to be a clear picture of the cost to Jesus Christ for our salvation as well as a promise of future blessing. When we properly partake of Communion in faith, God uses it to cleanse us and sanctify us. The desire of the authors of this book is that the church reforms its practice of the Lord's Supper so that the Lord's death is properly proclaimed until He comes.
